COOKIES

What are they?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer, tablet, smartphone or any other device (hereinafter the “Device”) used to access a web page or application.
Cookies are used to store and retrieve information on browsing habits or on the device used by the user. This information is generally anonymous and, depending on the information contained in the cookie, can be used to recognise a user or a customer, if the user has previously registered with that website or service. Information can refer to the number of pages visited, the language, the place from which access is made, the number of new users, the frequency and repetition of visits, the browser and device with which access is made.

Which cookies are used by the site?
This site uses so-called “Technical” cookies for the sole purpose of transmitting a message on an electronic network, or to the extent strictly necessary by a provider of a service explicitly requested by a user, in order to provide the service.
This type of cookie is needed to ensure that some areas of the site function properly and includes:

  • Persistent cookies, which are not deleted as soon as the browser is closed but remain stored on the device until a pre-set expiry date;
  • Session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed.

These cookies avoid having to use other techniques, that could potentially jeopardise a user’s browsing privacy, and do not allow personal data, that could be used to identify a user, from being acquired.

Without these cookies, the site, or portions of it, may not function properly. Hence, they are always used, regardless of the user’s preferences.

Third-party cookies
These cookies are used to collect information, in an anonymous form, on how the site is used by users, including: pages visited, time spent, source of the inbound traffic, geographic origin, age, gender and interests for marketing purposes. These cookies are sent by third-party domains that are external to the Site.
Google Analytics cookies are used such as _ga, APISID, 1PJAR, CONSENT, HSID, NID, OGPC, SID,SIDCC, gid).

The user may, freely and at any time, configure his/her privacy settings in relation to accepting and using cookies. This can be done directly through the browser by referring to the links below and follow the relative instructions.

Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/Eliminare%20i%20cookie

The user can make use of so-called “private browsing” (sometimes called “incognito” or “anonymous” browsing), thanks to which the user’s browser interrupts saving the history of sites visited, any passwords entered, cookies and other information about the pages visited.

It should be noted that, if the user decides to disable cookies, the quality and the speed of the services offered by this website may be drastically affected for the worse and access to certain sections of the site may be lost.
